Butara 1/Lolium perenne Perennial Ryegrass A true grazing type | | Yield | Digestibility | Ground cover | Rust resiatance
Excellent yield all summer Very good ground cover High digestibility at grazing and conservation Good resistance to crown rust
High summer yield
BUTARA 1 is situated in the late end of the intermediate diploid varieties. This means high yield of highly digestible feed early, mid and late summer. In total, BUTARA 1 yielded 10% more than control when tested under simulated grazing.
Good feeding value
The digestibility of organic matter was in simulated grazing trials more than 75% - so BUTARA 1 is offering an excellent feed to the grazing animals.
Best ground cover in trial
BUTARA 1 was best in test for ground cover in the simulated grazing trials, reaching 7.9 out of 9 possible scores. And along with that the resitance to crown rust is good.
