A dense tetraploid

AMBROSE belongs to the new generation of perennial ryegrass from DLF-TRIFOLIUM. The focus has not only been on high yield of forage, but also on the growth and density of the variety.

Grazing type

Late tetraploid varieties are mainly used in mixtures for grazing because they keep forage quality for a long period, and grazing animals prefer tetraploids due to the higher sugar content. Older varieties are typically relatively open, leaving space for weeds. AMBROSE, however, is dense as a diploid, meaning that all the benfits of the tetraploids can be utilised without risk of sward damage.

Proven quality

AMBROSE has participated in grazing trials in Denmark where both yield and grazing properties like palatability and rust resistance were excellent.
