A Yield BOOSTER for Forage Mixtures
In pure stand CITELIAC will provide very high yields of dry matter, starting with a tremendous 1st cut followed by high production potential in the aftermath. Added to mixtures CITELIAC provides higher yields early in the season and will show better summer performance than perennial ryegrasses due to a better drought tolerance. With good resistance to leafspot and excellent rust resistance, CITELIAC allows conservation and grazing of highly palatable forage. CITELIAC has also proven good winterhardiness.
Famous Relatives
CITELIAC is one of the recent varieties bred by DLF-TRIFOLIUM, belonging to the restricted group of perennial type hybrid ryegrasses. CITELIAC was preceded by the famous varieties POLLY and STORM. Many specialists believe that the most promising hybrid ryegrass type is the perennial type like CITELIAC - in particular in regions with oceanic influence.
