Turf Quality Seed: the purest seed on the market

Grass seeds that are used in golf courses or by turf growers not only need top genetic quality but also top technical quality.

To ensure this top quality, Turf Quality Seed lots undergo more tests and more thorough tests.

Normal seed lots are tested at the end of the process only. Turf Quality Seed lots are tested after cleaning, after blending and after packaging, in order to check on the success of the whole process, from breeding through processing.

Normal seed lots are checked for purity in 2.500 seeds per lot. Turf Quality Seed lots are checked in 25.000 seeds per lot (and that three times!).

Normal seed lots are checked for purity by visual examination only. Turf Quality Seed lots of ryegrass and tall fescue are checked for Lolium multiflorum in a grow test as well.

Only if NO other seeds are found in all these examinations the lot will be granted the S1 Turf Quality Seed description.

If the seed lot contains NO coarse grasses, but does contain traces of unharmfull dicot species, it will be labeled S2 Turf Quality Seed.

And in case no other seeds are found in the small examination of 2.500 seeds, but a trace is found in the tenfold quantity, the seed will be labeled as A Turf Quality Seed.
