CELIANNA is quite different to the majority of strong creeping red fescues. In a trial with cultivars you will often be able to pick it out simply by its unique appearance. It has a more erect growth and a look and density like the chewings - and the finest hard fescues.

Summer performance is often considered the weak point of strong creeping red fescues. CELIANNA shows improvements in two ways during summer:

The superior visual aspect is linked to a good drought and heat tolerance of CELIANNA. This is actually outstanding for such a dense variety and shows the vitality and good root activity of the variety.

The high wear tolerance is also linked to the vitality and healthy appearance of CELIANNA - the ability of recovering after wear.

Strong Persistency

CELIANNA shows high persistency and will be an ideal choice for most mixtures designed to include strong creeping red fescue. The colour is intermediate to dark green.
