Heat Tolerance

CAPRI has shown a very good summer aspect in the French trials, which gives evidence of a very good heat tolerance of the variety.

Winter Performance

Under mild climates, a good winter performance is also important. CAPRI shows a good colour and density during the winter and gives the lawn a healthy look.

Disease Resistance

One of the most important qualities to possess under warm and humid conditions is disease resistance.  CAPRI fulfils such requirements as it offers a good resistance, not only to rust, but also to Red thread and Helminthosporiose. In the NTEP trials – test 1990 CAPRI is ranked first for resistance to Leaf Spot – included Gray Leaf Spot (Pyricularia grisea).

Fast Establishment

The quality of the lawn in the first year is very much depending on the phase of establishing. A fast establishment secures that weed is quickly outdone. CAPRI has proved to germinate very fast with a high tillering right from the beginning and thereby fulfilling this request.
