General appearance

CY 2 is an elite Creeping Bentgrass variety that was originally bred to withstand the high temperatures and humidity of Japan. It shows excellent turf quality, winter colour, heat tolerance and disease resistance. It is a dense variety that is easy to establish and it will keep its bright green uniform colour all year long. It has a strong resistance to dollar spot and brown patch as well as a minor component in winter overseed mixtures containing improved Poa trivialis.

In the most recent NTEP trials in the USA, CY 2 ranked first for turf quality on sand-based greens, and tied for first in the 1/8” mowing height tests. Preliminary results from UK and Scandinavian field trials confirm these results.

Usage

CY 2 has been developed exclusively for golf course greens, tees and fairways; croquet and tennis courts, and bowling tops.
