Very High Yields

In both the official German and French trials AMOS has out-yielded other varieties, showing stable and very high yields in green-and dry matter. Tetraploid varieties are more vigorously growing and AMOS is outstanding.

Persistent

Persistency in the French trials are messured in the 3.rd year of use and here AMOS has scored among the very best showing the high persistency.

High Resistance Against Sclerotinia

Persistency of red clover is very much depending on resistance towards Sclerotinia. Amos has a high resistance.

Low Phytoestrogen

In a screening of a large number of red clover varieties AMOS has shown lower oestrogen (formononetin) content than most other varities. Phytoestrogens are known to be responsible for reproductive dysfunction.
