Lots of Good Qualities

ZORRO is a tetraploid Italian Ryegrass having excellent qualities like high resistance to rust, very productive, resistance to dry periods and erect growth even in times of rainy weather. At the same time the very good results achieved under warm climatic conditions prove ZORRO to have a very good tolerance to drought as well as an efficient use of water. Further more the high production is easy to harvest as ZORRO is very resistant to lodging.

High Quality Yield

At 11 trailstations in north of Germany ZORRO showed the highest DM Yield.

In the regrowth the appearance of stems is fewer compared to other varieties and is an indication that ZORRO has a higher leaf mass. This secures a high production of a very high quality forage because more leaf than stems means more digestible forrage.
