Variety Type
BOFUR is a tetraploid (4n), intermediate heading Italian ryegrass. The spring growth of BOFUR is early to mid-early with a very strong growth in the year of sowing. BOFUR is very fast in establishment and yields a very high 1st cut with a fine digestibility of the fodder.
Forage Qualities
BOFUR is excellent for silage making and for use as green fodder on stable. Due to the good standing ability BOFUR can be harvested without contamination of soil in the fodder. Establishment is fast and the disease resistance as well as persistence are very good.
