Festulolium
Tall Fescue TypeMain traits for HYKOR is high yield potential, persistence, drought resistance and tolerance to high level of subsoil water. HYKOR can be used as substitute for meadow fescue with markedly higher yield as result. Compared to meadow fescue and tall fescue, these festulolium varieties have better feeding value – measured by higher content of sugar and energy.
Quality and PersistencyHYKOR is suitable for silage mixtures together with perennial ryegrass, hybrid ryegrass and lucerne or red clover. The festulolium increases the persistency of the mixture due to the deeper root system and tolerance to dry conditions. In the picture above HYKOR (centre) has early spring growth compared to perennial ryegrass (left).
